I am looking for a place or site to look up Canadian WWII trooper numbers. I have my Grandfather's "Trooper Number" and was wondering if there was a way to use it to find out more about him during WWII. What unit he was with, where he trained, etc. Or, if there was some site that I could punch in his name to do the same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx, KJ

In visiting from time to time, I always seem to find something interesting. A great site and I certainly agree with your title "Cdn heroes" for they certainly are! We as Canadians should be very proud of those generations who sacrificed so much for us today, and our most honourable military history. Lest we forget! http://www.geocities.com/convoymagazine and http://www.geocities.com/lga25ubique/index.html

This is a wonderful site! "The Canadian Heroes: Guest-book" helps us to express our thoughts & loss of our Family Heros killed in the Wars. Also finding a link to the past. My Father was our Hero Killed at the end of the 2nd war in April 45. L/Cpl. Frederick SHARRATT of the Lincoln/Welland Reg. did not see his new Son born in Feb.45. His Son, My Brother, looks so much like My Father today! Fred was one of the older guys-in his thirties and never mentioned in his letters to Mom about how cold & tired he was or about the Horror of his buddies dying around him. He is buried in the Beautiful Holten Canadian Cemetery. We understand the School children & Families look after these graves so the younger generations will never forget these Canadian Heros fought for they're freedom! Lets never forget the Horrors & Saddness of War! Frederick Sharratts will never be forgotten. His Daughter -Carole "kcea43@msn.com"
